The Ravens and Falcons will meet on Thursday night as each team begins their 2012 NFL Pro Football preseason campaign. Baltimore will be the road team as Atlanta will host with a kick off time of 7:30PM Eastern Time.
The odds board shows the Atlanta Falcons barely hanging on as a favorite in this game at -1 point with the total lined at 33 ½ points. The line move came in on Baltimore as there was a 1 ½ point move with the Falcons opening up a -2 ½ point favorite. The total saw some movement to the under as the game opened at 34 points.
The Ravens look to shed some of the ill memories from last year’s playoff run. They lost in the AFC Championship game to the New England Patriots 23-20 getting +7 points. Baltimore missed a chip shot field goal preventing the game from going overtime. A dropped pass in the end zone during a late drive prevented the Ravens from taking the lead over New England.

Expectations are as high as they have ever been in Atlanta as the club is coming off two straight seasons in the playoffs. Problem is Atlanta is 0-3 in the playoffs during the Mike Smith era as head coach and Matt Ryan’s time as quarterback. The defense must get better as the club allowed their opponents 369 yards per game with 257 yards coming through the air. They switch defensive coordinators as Mike Nolan came over from Miami in the offseason.
